Sarah is fascinated by the impact we have on the ecosystems, geology and climate and how this interacts with the rural environment.

Her work has a way of capturing the essence of the Highland landscape. With moody palettes, textured brushstrokes, and a deep emotional pull, she is able to capture the solitude, drama, and quiet power of the landscape we inhabit and call home.

She isn’t trying to create perfect detail, it’s more about feeling a place, where mist, mountains, sky and stone all blur into something atmospheric and timeless. Where your imagination gets to fill in the gaps, whether through memory or emotion, where you sense the past, present and future all in the same moment, where nothing and everything changes.
